Rollie Pollie

So after her cheating escapade, Evie has now learned to roll over all by herself! The only problem now is that she cant roll back yet! Right when her back hits the mat, she is rolling, but once she is on her tummy, she becomes immediately frustrated and starts to fuss. What are you going to do?

Another interesting little tid bit is that Evie and Lobo are becoming pretty good buds. She is starting to reach out towards him and he is constantly coming up to her and sniffing her. It is very adorable.

Sickness all around

So this past weekend, Sarah's parents came to visit. Things were going great until early (and I mean EARLY) Sunday morning. Saturday we tried feeding her rice cereal for the first time which was quite entertaining. She really didn't like it that much, and still makes faces whenever we feed it to her.

On Sunday morning, around 4AM Evie woke up and was inconsolable until around 7am when we checked to see if she had a fever, which she did. She spent the day being medicated and being held and loved by everyone in the house.

The best part was, after we got Evie back to being healthy, Sarah got sick and was a wee bit grumpy :) The good news is that everyone is now back to being happy and healthy.

Standing Machine

So Evie has not rolled over since Saturday. She used the bar on her mat to push herself over and we haven't seen anything since then :( The cool thing though is that Evie cannot stop trying to stand up. We try to sit her down onto her lap, but she wont bend her knees and just wants to stand on your legs. Figures that she would want to skip crawling and move right to standing and walking.

So after a month of "almost there" Evie has finally rolled over from her back to her belly. She is also becoming a thumb/hand sucker. You can always hear her going to town on those little hand of hers. She is also much more verbal now and we have heard her first real laugh, which is the cutest thing ever. She doesn't do it often, but when she does, it melts our hearts.

Superbowl Sunday

So it has been a fun and relaxing day. We spent the day watching "The Office" then later on, watched the Steelers beat the Cardinals. Evie has been doing really well this week. She has been talking a lot more lately and she is SO close to rolling over. She just needs to figure out where her arm is supposed to go.

Tomorrow Skylar is going to get his first taste as a "stay at home dad" because our daycare provider has jury duty and I can't take off since I have taken so much time off already. It should be a fun day for him. He is even taking her to the grocery store! :)
