Jump Around
Sorry I didn't update the blog yesterday, but its up now! This weekend was an interesting one. Evie has a cold and on Saturday it peaked with vomiting and some really nasty diarrhea which we had a whole lotta fun cleaning up. But being the trooper she is, she wasn't fussy and even enjoyed her time in her new toy. We bought her a stationary jumper which she can't reach the floor when she is in it, but she loves to grab all the toys on it and sticking them in her mouth.
Evie is on the move when it comes to movement. She is shifting a lot in her bed. The other night we laid her down one way, and the next morning she was perpendicular to what she was the night before. She can also roll to one side and she loves to try and pull herself up. We couldn't be happier with our little bit. :)

Fruit Stripe Gum!
So it has been two weeks since Sarah has gone back to work and things are still going strong. Evie has been passing milestone after milestone like you wouldn't believe. She no longer fusses when she is hungry, rather she sucks very loudly on her hands. She is just like her mommy in the fact that she has to know whats going on. She cannot be alone, nor does she like to be held in restrictive positions. She wants to see everything that is going on in the room, and can already pull herself up when she is laying against your legs. Her favorite thing to do is rock her carrier when she is strapped in it because she is trying to lean forward but cant because of her straps. Today we saw her turn on her side for the first time, so we think that turning over will happen soon.
(The reason this is titled "Fruit Stripe Gum" is because of her footed onesie.)

Our first family trip to the aquarium
So today we took Evie to the Denver Aquarium. It was a lot of fun. Even though she can't figure out what they are, it was still really cool to see her watching the fish as they moved around in the tank. There was one really cool fish that had to be triple the size of her and for some weird reason, a tiger. Why a tiger was there, I still don't know. All in all it was a great day and I can't wait to see how she reacts to the next things we do.

Home Sweet Home
After two weeks in Oklahoma, we have returned back to our lovely home in Colorado Springs. Sarah has returned to work, which she has handled very well. The woman who is watching Evie is very nice and takes excellent care of her. Skylar has accepted a new position within Lockheed and hopes to be starting it within the next few weeks. All in all things are going pretty well.
Evie has pretty much mastered holding her head up. One of her favorite things to do is play "Queen of the Living Room" This is where she sits on Sarah's knee and looks around the room while Sarah asks her "Who's the Queen?" Since she was doing so well with her head control, we bought her a Bumbo to help her with sitting up. She enjoys it and we think that the older she gets, the more she will enjoy it.
