Its love, but dont tell daddy!
So our friends, the Friers came over with their 18 month song, Brandon. Evie and him had a lot of fun playing with each other, especially on the fireplace. The next day we went and cut down our Christmas tree in the National Forest in Woodland Park. It was really cold and snowy but Evie trooped it out and we found our tree!

Fun times at the park
So on a rare 70 degree November day, we took Evie to the park to play on all the equipment and to just have fun running around. She really enjoys the merry-go-round. Skylar pushes her really slow and she just smiles. She also likes to play in the tunnels, going back and forth between parents. The only things she is weary of is the slide and the swings. She will sit in the swing for a little bit but then makes this face that just says, "Get me down now!"
(The red dot on her head is from where she head butted mommy and cut her head on her glasses.)A lot of people have been asking about presents for Evie. She is currently wearing 18 month clothes, in separates. We still recommend not getting her onsies simply because they never fit her right. (we took her for her 1 year Dr's appointment and she is 34" long) She needs pants and sweaters. If you want to get her things for the summer time, we would recommend 2T but we cant promise if they will fit since she likes to get random growth spurts. For toys she could use some books and fake food items. Whatever people want to get her is great and we are truly very grateful. We just wanted to help out and let everyone know what she needs.

Sick Baby
So what did Evie get for her first birthday? SICK! The poor little girl caught a virus and has been out since 1:50AM on her birthday. She started the wonderful day by having a fever and throwing up her dinner all over daddy. Her fever went away in the morning so we took her to day care, which she slept through most of the day, and they rescheduled her party. When she got home, she still was out of it, with a low grade fever. At around 10pm she woke up with a 103 temp and hated being away from mommy. She would not stop snuggling and ended up sleeping with mommy and daddy, kicking daddy to the side of the bed as she did so.
We took her to the Drs and he said it was a virus and that we have to let it run its course. So, instead of celebrating her birthday on her actual birthday, we will celebrate it both before and after.

First Steps!
Evie has learned to walk! Sarah was picking her up from daycare on Friday and Evie walked from a couch a few steps to Sarah! Very soon she will be walking all over the place.

Ahhh....
So its been a nice and relaxing Labor Day weekend. We took a short drive to Canon City, took a family nap, and worked on the house a bit. All an all, not bad. Counting down the days till Evie's birthday. Can't believe how big she is getting and how quickly she is getting there. She LOVES solids, not a big fan of her pacifiers as much as she used to be, and can walk all around the house as long as she is holding on to something. When she lets go, she can stand a few seconds before she realizes it, then falls down. Hope everything is going well!
